New Mexico St. coach DeWayne Walker leaves for Jaguars

New Mexico State coach DeWayne Walker is leaving the school to become the secondary coach of the Jacksonville Jaguars, the school confirmed to the Las Cruces Sun-News.

Walker had four years remaining on his contract. He went 10-40 in his four years at New Mexico State, including 1-11 last season. All but one of the losses was by double figures. The Aggies lost five of their final six games by more than 30 points.

Walker has experience in the NFL. He was previously an assistant with the Patriots, Redskins and Giants.
