Manti Te'o was speaking to a woman on the phone as part of Ronaiah Tuiasosopo's hoax after all, according to a New York Post report.

The Post has learned Tuiasosopo's cousin, Tino Tuiasosopo, convincingly played the role of "Lennay Kekua," during hundreds of phone calls with the Notre Dame linebacker.

“Tino is the girl that Manti has been talking to all these months,” said a Tuiasosopo cousin after hearing the voicemail messages played during Te'o's interview with Katie Couric.

The claim contradicts a statement by Ronaiah Tuiasosopo’s attorney, Milton Grimes Thursday, that Ronaiah altered his voice to play the part of Kekua in all the calls.

According to the Post, one of Ronaiah Tuiasosopo’s relatives believes Grimes' statement is part of the admitted hoaxer's determination "to take the rap.”

After hearing the voicemails, one of Tino’s cousins told The Post, “There is no doubt whatsoever that it’s Tino.”
