The Boston Celtics could be reaching overseas to add to their backcourt. Gary Washburn at the Boston Globe tweets that the Celtics have been in touch with swingman Terrence Williams about a 10-day contract.
Williams, drafted 11th overall in 2009 by the Nets, had also had NBA stints with the Houston Rockets and Sacramento Kings before moving to China to play for Guangdong Southern Tigers. Williams joined up with the Detroit Pistons for their preseason training camp in 2012, but was released by the team before signing in China.
Williams, 25, averaged 7.1 points, 2.2 assists, and 3.4 rebounds in 30 games last season, split between the Rockets and Kings.
