Ex-WNBA star Chamique Holdsclaw indicted for shooting incident with girlfriend

A Fulton County, Georgia grand jury indicted former WNBA star Chamique Holdsclaw on six counts Wednesday in relation to a November incident with her ex-girlfriend, reports USA Today.

An arrest warrant was issued for 35-year-old Holdsclaw, who faces two counts of aggravated assault, one count of criminal damage in the first degree, two counts of criminal damage in the second degree and one count of possession of a firearm in commission of a felony.

Police say Holdsclaw fired a pistol at Jennifer Lacy, her ex-girlfriend on Nov. 13 following an altercation while Lacy was inside of her vehicle.  Lacy, who plays for the WNBA's Tulsa Shock, was not injured in the incident.  Holdsclaw was released on $100,000 bond after turning herself in three days later.

Lacy, 29, gave Holdsclaw the keys to her vehicle while working out at an Atlanta church that day. When she left, she reported smelling gas in her vehicle. Holdsclaw followed Lacy to a friend's house, according to the incident report.

Holdsclaw then smashed Lacy's 2010 Range Rover with a baseball bat, breaking two windows. According to the report, she stuck a pistol in the rear driver's side window and fired across the SUV.
