The Calgary Flames have signed Colorado Avalanche center Ryan O'Reilly to a two-year, $10 million offer sheet, O'Reilly's agent Mark Guy confirmed to the Denver PostThursday.

O'Reilly, a restricted free agent who led the Avs in scoring and the NHL in takeaways last season, has not played this season because he had not signed a contract.

If the Avs do not match the offer within seven days, O'Reilly reportedly will receive a prorated $1 million salary this season, with a $2.5 million signing bonus, and $6.5 million next season. The Avs would also receive the Flames' first- and third-round draft picks as compensation.

O'Reilly, 22, was the 33rd overall pick of the 2009 NHL Entry Draft, and has scored 39 goals and 68 assists for 107 points in 236 career games with the Avalanche over three seasons.
