Syracuse football players arrested after stealing $950 in electronics

Two Syracuse football players face felony burglary and larceny charges after being seen on survalliance video stealing almost $1000 in electronics, reports the Syracuse Post-Standard.

Police say juniors Davon Walls and Markus Pierce-Brewster made off with a total of about $950 worth of electronics, including an Xbox, a 19-inch television, two iPods and several video games. Two other students were also charged with burglary after the Feb. 23 incident.

According to court documents, Pierce-Brewster served as a lockout while Walls entered an unlocked apartment.

When Walls re-emerged from the apartment with the stolen goods, Pierce-Brewster helped him carry the items to a vehicle parked nearby, according to court papers.

Surveillance video from the Syracuse University Department of Public Safety shows Pierce-Brewster operating the vehicle and returning to his apartment "within a couple minutes after the burglary occurs," according to court papers. The video also allegedly shows Walls and Pierce-Brewster taking the stolen property into their own apartment, also within range of the cameras.
