Boston Red Sox designated hitter David Ortiz will have an MRI on both heels to rule out any damage as he has been feeling soreness during the past couple of days.

Ortiz injured his right Achilles tendon last July and missed all but one game of the remainder of the 2012 season but still ended up hitting .318 with 23 home runs and 6o RBI.  Ortiz is in the last season of a two-year, $26 million contract he signed in 2012.

"That's where he's been feeling discomfort," Red Sox manager John Farrell said, via NESN.com. "It hasn't been in his right Achilles specifically. It's been overall in both heels." Just to rule everything out, he’s undergone that imaging here today. He’s been taking [batting practice] every single day. There’s progress, yet, maybe not as fast as he might have anticipated or hoped.”
