Report: USC basketball suspends players involved in Spokane fight

USC interim basketball coach Bob Cantu has suspended James Blasczyk and Dewayne Dedmon indefinitely for their involvement in a fight in Spokane, Washington, ESPN's Andy Katz's reports.

According to police reports, 10 to 12 officers responded to a call about a fight in downtown Spokane at 2 a.m. Sunday morning. Monique Cotton, communications director for the Spokane police, said the fight started at one location and wound up at another.

“Witnesses told us that they believe that it was USC basketball players that were involved,” Cotton said, “but we are still in the very preliminary portion of our investigation.”

The Trojans lost to Washington St. 76-51 in their regular season finale and stayed the night in Washington before planning to fly back to Southern California Sunday morning.
