Former Colts wide receiver Donnie Avery will sign with the Kansas City Chiefs, reports ESPN's Adam Schefter on Twitter.

Avery caught 60 passes for 781 yards in his season with Indianapolis. He is the latest addition to Kansas City's revamped passing attack. The Chiefs traded for San Francisco quarterback Alex Smith and signed tight end Anthony Fasano.

Avery should help divert attention from Dwayne Bowe and Jamaal Charles in the team's first year under new coach Andy Reid. For more on the latest signings, check out SI.com’s NFL Free-Agent Tracker
