The Atlanta Falcons made sure they are continuing protection for their franchise quarterback Matt Ryan by re-signing left tackle Sam Baker on Tuesday night, according to multiple reports.

No financial terms were disclosed. Baker was part of an offensive line that ranked 15th in the league, according to Pro Football Focus.

Baker, in his sixth NFL season, started all 16 games for the Falcons last season for only the second time in his career. He has started 57 of the 66 games he has appeared in. There were numerous reports that the Miami Dolphins were interested in Baker's services. https://twitter.com/alexmarvez/status/311663763268976640
