Derrick Rose to pay for funeral of slain 6-month-old Chicago girl

Chicago Bulls star Derrick Rose said he will pay for part of the funeral of a 6-month-old Chicago girl who was gunned down in the south side of Chicago Monday night, according to a report from ABC News.

The baby was caught in the crossfire of a gang related incident in which her father was the intended target of the attack. He was shot at while changing her diaper on the passenger seat of a minivan. He survived the attack but the shooter remains at large with an $11,000 reward being offered for his capture.

Rose has not commented specifically on this incident, but has been vocal in the past about his feelings toward Chicago's issues with gun violence. In September, he took to Twitter to share some of his thoughts, days after two people were shot to death and 10 others were wounded over a two-day period in Chicago.
