Saints sign Benjamin Watson to three-year deal

The New Orleans Saints have signed tight end Benjamin Watson to a three-year contract, the Saints said on Monday. Watson played for the Cleveland Browns last season, hauling in 49 receptions for 501 yards with three touchdowns in 14 games.

Watson joins one of the best offensive teams in the NFL. The Saints ranked second in total offense with 6,574 yards from scrimmage including a league-leading 4,997 yards through the air last year.

The 32-year-old tight end was drafted with the 32nd overall pick by the New England Patriots in the 2004 NFL draft before signing a three-year deal with the Browns in 2010.
