Rex Ryan: 'We're not actively trying to trade Darrelle Revis'

Jets coach Rex Ryan told reporters that the team was not actively trying to trade cornerback Darrelle Revis, according to Bart Hubbach of the New York Post. Ryan emphasized that they were open to all possibilities, including an extension for Revis. The Jets have been openly engaged in discussions with other teams to ship Revis elsewhere over the past few weeks.

Revis, 27, was drafted by the Jets in the first round (14th overall) of the 2007 draft. He's been a starter for all six years, but suffered a season-ending knee injury in a game against the Dolphins last September and underwent reconstructive surgery in October. With a contract of $11.5 million per year, Revis is the NFL's highest paid defensive back, according to the NFL's Albert Breer.
