UNLV freshman forward Anthony Bennett will leave the school after one season and enter his name into June's NBA Draft, CBS Sports' Jeff Goodman reported Sunday.

Bennett, a 6-foot-8 freshman, averaged 16.1 points and 8.1 rebounds this season with UNLV, and he was named Mountain West Freshman of the Year. He shot 53.3 percent from the field this season. The fifth-seeded Rebels were upset in the second round of the NCAA tournament by 12th-seeded California on Thursday.

In his most recent NBA Draft Big Board, SI.com's Chris Mannix ranked Bennett fourth, behind Kansas freshman Ben McLemore, Kentucky freshman Nerlens Noel, and Oklahoma State freshman Marcus Smart. Mannix reported that more scouts are projecting Bennett as a small forward in the NBA.

"He plays like a power forward," a Western Conference GM told Mannix. "The rebounding, the physical play. But he's quicker than he looks and can handle the ball a little. He will need some work, but he can get there."
