Former New York Jets general manager Mike Tannenbaum has joined a sports agency as the head of its new division for contract negotiations with coaches, front office personnel and broadcasters, according to multiple reports on Twitter.

The news Tannenbaum would be joining Priority Sports & Entertainment was first reported by CBS Sports' Bruce Feldman.

Feldman reported that Tannenbaum is a graduate of Tulane Law School. The former Jets GM was fired at the end of last season. New York's offense stumbled in a 6-10 season. Tannenbaum had been the team's general manager since 2006.
