Raiders waive linebacker Rolando McClain

The Raiders have waived linebacker Rolando McClain. McClain was owed $4 million in 2013 and $5.8 million in 2014. The Raiders have been expected to release McClain, and allowed him to explore trade options. The Raiders signed three new linebacker starters, leaving little room and no use for McClain.
Once he hits the open market, McClain should generate some interest from other teams. Once a No. 8 draft pick, McClain was a bust for the Raiders with off-field issues and limited coverage ability. Still, he's only 23-years-old and a good run defender.
