Cubs prospect Jorge Soler will be suspended for bat wielding incident

Jorge Soler, an outfielder with the Cubs' High-A Daytona affiliate, will be suspended for charging the opposing dugout and wielding his bat in a threatening manner, reports CBS Sports. The incident occurred in a game with High-A Clearwater, a Phillies affiliate.

Soler's angry advance was the result of his getting tangled up with the Clearwater second baseman while running the bases earlier in the game.

Soler, 21, is a highly touted Cuban defector who hit .299/.369/.463 across two levels. In six games with Daytona, he has a 1.258 OPS.
