The manhunt for a Boston Marathon bombing suspect has caused the Boston Bruins and Pittsburgh Penguins to cancel their morning skates at TD Garden Friday.

Boston area authorities have shut down mass transit and instructed residents to remain indoors as law enforcement officials and SWAT teams go door-to-door in search of 19-year-old Dzhokhar A. Tsarnaev, the remaining suspect who may be armed and dangerous.

The Bruins will provide updates on the teams' game scheduled for Friday night.

The teams previously announced plans to pay tribute and raise funds for the marathon bombing victims. The Bruins will wear black and gold "Boston Strong" sweaters and the Penguins will wear "617" patches on their sweaters, then auction off the game-used gear with all proceeds being donated to "The One Fund Boston." https://twitter.com/NHLBruins/status/325230737185964033
