FIFA World Cup and Sepp Blatter's Twitter accounts hacked
The Twitter accounts for the FIFA World Cup and President of FIFA, Sepp Blatter, was hacked on Monday afternoon. The tweets from the FIFA World Cup account alleged that Blatter was stepping down amidst corruption charges. On Blatter's timeline, a photo was posted with Blatter claiming to have taken money from a Qatari prince.
A group called the "Syrian Electronic Army" took responsibility for hacking the accounts. A Syrian embassy was recently opened in Qatar in opposition from the Syrian President Bashar al-Assad.
