Roger Goodell: Moment of silence, increased security at NFL draft
Commissioner Roger Goodell said Wednesday that the NFL draft will begin with a moment of silence for the victims of the Boston Marathon bombing and the fertilizer plant explosion in West, Texas, reports USA TODAY's Jim Corbett.
"We will have a moment of reflection for both the victims in Boston and in Texas," Goodell said, according to Corbett's report. The commissioner also said that there will be increased security at the draft, including the banning of backpacks. The draft starts Thursday.
