NFL suspends Jaguars WR Justin Blackmon four games for substance abuse

The NFL has suspended Jaguars wide receiver Justin Blackmon four games, as first reported by ESPN's Adam Schefter.

The NFL announced Blackmon would be suspended without pay and miss the first four games of the Jaguars' regular season for violating the NFL Policy and Program for Substances of Abuse.

Blackmon will be eligible to return to the Jaguars' active roster on Monday, Sept. 30, according to the NFL. The former Oklahoma State All-American was the Jaguars' first-round pick (fifth overall) in the 2012 draft. He had 64 receptions for 865 yards and five touchdowns in his rookie season.
