Former Maryland center Alex Len had surgery to stabilize a stress fracture in his ankle and will be out four to six months, reports Yahoo! Sports.
Len, at 7 feet 1 inches, was expected to be a lottery pick in the NBA Draft, which will be held June 27 at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn.
Len declared for the draft after his sophomore season, where he averaged 11.9 points, 7.8 rebounds and led the ACC with 2.1 blocks a game for the Terrapins. He started 48 games in his career, including 37 this season.
