Blake Griffin will come off bench in Game 6

Los Angeles Clippers forward Blake Griffin will not start in Game 6 against the Memphis Grizzlies but will be available to come off the bench, according to multiple sources. Lamar Odom will start in Griffin's absence.

Griffin sprained his ankle in practice and was limited to four points, five rebounds and five assists in 20 minutes of action. Head coach Vinny Del Negro pulled Griffin with 5:39 left in the third quarter.

Del Negro said Griffin's injury was a "freak accident" and he wanted to "protect" Griffin from further injuring his ankle. The Grizzlies lead the Clippers 3-2 in the first round of the Western Conference playoffs heading into Game 6 in Memphis.
