The Chicago Bulls will be without All-Star forward Luol Deng for Game 2 of their second-round series against the Heat in Miami on Wednesday night, according to a tweet from CSNChicago reporter Aggrey Sam.

Deng's status for the rest of the playoffs remains unknown as Coach Thibodeau has not definitively shot down the possibility that he could be out for the entire series. Deng was recently hospitalized and received a spinal tap last week to rule out meningitis. Thibodeau said Deng will remain in Chicago after being released from the hospital this week and will rejoin the team for Game 3 on Friday when the series shifts to Chicago, but whether or not he plays remains to be seen.

Hinrich, meanwhile, is a game-time decision for Wednesday night as he deals with a severely bruised left calf. According to a report Wednesday from Bulls beat reporter K.C. Johnson of the Chicago Tribune, Thibodeau said "Kirk has a ways to go" and confirmed that Hinrich sat out this morning's shoot around to allow the swelling and discoloring in his leg to fade.

Of course, neither of their absences seemed to matter in Game 1 Monday night as the Bulls pulled off a stunning upset over the Heat 93-86.
