Cardinals sign linebacker Karlos Dansby to one-year deal

The Arizona Cardinals signed linebacker Karlos Dansby to a one-year deal on Friday, the team announced.
Financial terms were not disclosed.
Dansby spent the last three seasons with the Miami Dolphins but was cut after the team signed free agent Dannell Ellerbe. Dansby was scheduled to make $6 million this season. The Cardinals drafted him in the second round of the 2004 draft and he spent his first six years in the NFL with the team.
By signing Dansby, the Cardinals have some relief at the position because linebacker Daryl Washington will have to sit out the first four games of the regular season because of an NFL suspension for violating the league's substance abuse policy.
