Knicks guard J.R. Smith cleared to play
Smith had been a game-time decision with a fever. The best-of-seven series is tied at one game apiece.
Knicks head coach Mike Woodson said Smith stayed at the team hotel with a fever of about 102 degrees and would rely on the team doctors to decide if Smith would play.Smith averaged 18.1 points and 5.3 rebounds during the regular season and won the league's Sixth Man Award. He is averaging 14.4 points and 4.7 rebounds in the playoffs, and hitting just 7 of 30 from the field. He scored only 25 points in the first two games against Indiana.
