Oakland Raiders CEO Amy Trask resigns
Oakland Raiders Chief Executive Offcer Amy Trask resigned on Saturday, ending her long association with team, reports multiple sources.
She was hired as CEO by the late owner Al Davis in 1997 and was the only female CEO in the National Football League. She had been in the organization under various capacities since 1983 and took a job in the legal department in 1987. Owner Mark Davis had informed her that Trask would have a subordinate role under his ownership, reports SI.com.
“Having honored a commitment that I made to effectuate a smooth transition and transfer of control, I no longer wish to remain with the organization,” Trask said in an email distributed to multiple members of the media, via ProFootballTalk.com. “For over a quarter of a century, it was my honor and my privilege to work for the Raiders. I will forever appreciate the opportunity afforded me by Al Davis.”
