The NHL announced Monday that the 2013 Stanley Cup playoffs semifinal round will begin Tuesday with a double header. Game 1 in the Eastern Conference semifinal series between the Pittsburgh Penguins and Ottawa Senators will begin at 7:30 p.m. ET in Pittsburgh, while the Western Conference semifinal between the LA Kings and San Jose Sharks will begin at 10 p.m. ET in Los Angeles.
The Game 1 series between the Chicago Blackhawks and Detroit Red Wings will be Wednesday at 8 p.m. in Chicago.
The NHL said the remaining schedule, including dates, times and coverage for the entire round will be released at the end of Monday night’s games.
The Conference Quarterfinal round concludes Monday with two Game 7 matchups. The Boston Bruins and Toronto Maple Leafs will face off at the TD Garden, while the Washington Capitals welcome the New York Rangers to the Verizon Center.
