The Buffalo Bills are remaining mum on Mario Williams' off-the-field issues but the Bills are reportedly taking the defensive end's issues "seriously." Buffalo Bills head coach Doug Marrone told reporters Monday that he has spoken to defensive end Mario Williams about his off-the-field problems. Marrone said the Bills will not comment on personal matters and his conversations with Williams will "remain private"

Earlier this month, Williams filed a lawsuit against his ex-fiancée for a $785,000 engagement ring after the couple had broken off the engagement. Williams' fiancée, Erin Marzouki, is refusing to return the 10.04 carat ring and her lawyer, Tony Buzbee, is claiming Williams' emotional instability is the reason why the engagement ended. Buzbee released a three-page series of text messages allegedly exchanged between Williams and Marzouki that reveals Williams as having suicidal thoughts.

"I took 3 hydrocodones this morning and no one knows," Williams allegedly texted Marzouki. "I'm going to take 2 more on the plane and fade away." He allegedly went on to text, "No money in the world should leave me with suicidal thoughts."
Williams refuted the claims Buzbee made, claiming the Bills prescribed and dispensed the painkillers.
