Brazilian soccer player Neymar has been acquired by Barcelona from Santos FC, according to multiple reports. The 21-year-old forward's transfer from Santos FC to Barcelona is expected to be completed Friday night. The transfer fee Barcelona is required to pay is 25 million euros (just over $32 million) and two friendly matches between Santos and Barcelona - one in each team's home stadium.

Neymar has led Santos FC to one of the team's greatest runs since Pele stopped playing for the team in the 1970's. Neymar helped Santos FC win the 2010 Brazilian Cup, the 2011 Copa Libertadores and three consecutive Sao Paulo state championships. He has scored more goals for the club than anyone else since Pele's era.

Earlier this month, SportsPro magazine named Neymar the world's most marketable player, ranking ahead of Barcelona's Lionel Messi. The magazine ranks athletes according to their marketability over the next three years. Neymar is expected to compete for Brazil in the 2014 World Cup.
