Derek Jeter to have ankle scanned and examined next week

Yankees shortstop Derek Jeter hasn't played this season while recovering from two ankle fractures. Jeter said Thursday he hopes a CT scan and examination by Dr. Robert Anderson in Charlotte, N.C., next week will clear him to increase his level of baseball activities.
From Yankees.com:
"I have no news, none. Can't do anything different till I see the doctor, so there's absolutely no news from me," Jeter said. "I wish, but I got nothing. I mean, I wish I could do more, but I can't until I go to the doctor."
Jeter isn't expected back in the Yankees lineup until mid-July after originally fracturing the ankle in last year's American League Championship Series, then suffering another fracture during his rehabilitation in April.
