Chad Johnson was sentenced to 30 days in jail when a Florida judge felt Johnson was not taking his probation hearing seriously. But today, Judge Katherine McHugh ruled that Johnson can be released after serving seven days, according to TMZ and Pro Football Talk.

During his hearing a week ago, Johnson slapped his lawyer on the butt in a Broward County courtroom, drawing laughter from the crowd and a 30-day sentence from Judge McHugh. Attorney Adam Swickle said the rear-end slap was just Johnson's way of saying thanks. Johnson returned to the courtroom on Monday and apologized to the judge for a lack of respect.
