The Atlanta Falcons are a step closer to a new stadium when the Georgia World Congress Center approved the team's new stadium plans on Tuesday.

Georgia World Congress Center released two different retractable-roof concepts earlier this year that would replace the Georgia Dome. The new stadium would seat 70,000 and cost about $1 billion.

The Falcons have played in the Georgia Dome since the 1992 season and hosted the Super Bowl in 1994 and 2000.

In April, there was a report that the new stadium would have seats that vibrate after every big hit and a bar that stretches the entire length of the football field. Also included in the stadium might be what’s called a ’Fantasy Football Lounge’ and from the rendering it looks like a futuristic electronics store. The stadium would also have a retractable roof.

The stadium would open in time for the 2017 season and be located near the Georgia Dome.
