ESPN Insider reports Kansas shooting guard Ben McLemore showed up to recent workouts for the Suns and Magic out of shape -- and it could hurt his draft status.

McLemore is widely considered a top-3 selection in the upcoming NBA Draft -- SI.com's Chris Mannix has him going No. 2 to the Magic in his latest mock draft -- but the 20-year-old freshman's maturity and off-the-court questions could take some of the shine off his unquestioned talents on the court.

From ESPN Insider:

His lack of preparation for the draft is hurting him. Multiple sources told me that his workout in Phoenix was not impressive. McLemore, according to sources, wasn't in shape and struggled to keep up in the workout. I heard similar things in Orlando.

GLOCKNER: Can Ben McLemore develop the mindset to match his talent?

Chris Ford reports McLemore may be the victim of a behind-the-scenes power struggle with his handlers.

From ESPN Insider:

McLemore is in a tug-of-war right now between advisor Rodney Blackstock and his agency Rivals. It's kept McLemore out of the gym and, for the most part, out of workouts. How much will all of this affect the draft stock? I'm told teams are worried. But how worried? Enough for one of the most talented players in the draft to slide further? Stay tuned.
