After the Miami Heat won their second consecutive NBA championship, many South Florida residents took to the streets in jubilation. One teen watching the NBA Finals postgame coverage was hit by what police believe to be celebratory gunfire while he was sitting in his mother's home. Police said the gunshot stemmed from South Florida residents firing celebratory shots in the air.

According to the Associated Press, 15-year-old Brandon Reid said he was watching the Miami Heat celebrate their NBA championship on TV when a bullet came through his mother's sliding glass door. Reid was grazed in the skull by the stray bullet under his ear.
