The Sacramento Kings extended guard Tyreke Evans a one-year qualifying offer, making him a restricted free-agent, the team announced.

The team will be able to match any offer that Evans gets from other NBA teams. If Evans plays under the one-year qualifying offer, he would make $6.9 million next season.

The team could also try to work on a long-term deal as well.

Evans was the 2009-10 NBA Rookie of the Year and only the fourth rookie in NBA history to average 20 points, five rebounds, and five assists a contest.

This season, he averaged 15.8 points, 4.4 rebounds a game while shooting a career-high 47.8 percent from the floor.
