The Cavaliers' aggressive efforts to explore their trade options for the No. 1 overall pick include an offer to the Pelicans for their No. 6 pick and point guard Greivis Vasquez, according to Hoopsworld.com.

The Cavs reportedly have been the catalyst for proposed trades involving the Timberwolves and Kevin Love, the Mavericks and their 13th overall pick, and the Kings' DeMarcus Cousins. The Cavs' proposed deal with the Pelicans reportedly includes Vasquez and draft picks.

MANNIX: Who's up, who's down in NBA Mock Draft 5.0?

From Hoopsworld.com:

Cleveland offered New Orleans this year’s top overall pick in exchange for point guard Greivis Vasquez, the No. 6 overall pick and a 2014 first-round pick, according to sources.

The Cavaliers, like most teams, would love to acquire an additional first-round pick for the 2014 NBA Draft since that draft class is expected to be one of the most talented in recent memory.

No word on whether New Orleans has expressed interest in such a deal.

But a Pelicans official has denied the rumor, according to Sam Amico of Fox Sports.
