Report: Martell Webster's new Wizards deal worth $22 million
The Wizards maintained they still valued starting small forward Martell Webster even after drafting Otto Porter last week. The team backed it up Tuesday by re-signing Webster, according to Adrian Wojnarowski of Yahoo! Sports.
The deal reportedly is worth $22 million over four years.
Webster, 26, is coming off a one-year deal with the Wizards. He put up career bests of 11.4 points and 3.9 rebounds per game, and became a three-point threat for Washington, connecting on 42.2 percent last season. He was drafted out of high school sixth overall in 2005 by the Trail Blazers and played in Portland for five seasons. He played for the Timberwolves in 2010 before joining the Wizards.MAHONEY: Should rebuilding Celtics consider trading Rajon Rondo?
