The courtship of free-agent center Dwight Howard appears to have finally come to an end on Friday.

Howard has chosen to sign with the Houston Rockets, according to USA Today, citing an anonymous source. Howard has yet to announce his decision publicly.

However, Howard's agent, Dan Fegan, told Yahoo! Sports that Howard has yet to finalize his decision about where he will play next season. Fegan said Howard is hoping to make his decision either tonight or tomorrow morning.

Howard met with the Rockets, Dallas Mavericks, Atlanta Hawks, the Golden State Warriors and the Los Angeles Lakers this week.

Howard averaged 17.1 points and 12.4 rebounds in his first season in Los Angeles after being traded from the Orlando Magic last August.
