Report: Clippers ink Matt Barnes to three-year deal

The Los Angeles Clippers and forward Matt Barnes have agreed to terms on a three-year deal in the range of $11 to $12 million, according to Yahoo! reporter Marc Spears.

After spending two years with the Los Angeles Lakers and averaging less than eight points-per-game, Barnes had his best offensive season of his career with the Clippers last season. Barnes averaged career highs in minutes played (25.8), points-per-game (10.3) on 46.2 percent shooting while coming off the bench for the Clippers.

The California native scored 11.8 points-per-game on 54.4 percent shooting in six playoff games for the Clippers last season. Barnes was drafted in the second round of 2002 NBA Draft by the Memphis Grizzlies before being cut shortly thereafter. Barnes would go on to make his professional debut with the Clippers in 2004. He has played for the Clippers, Sacramento Kings, New York Knicks, Philadelphia 76ers, Golden State Warriors, Phoenix Suns, Orlando Magic and Lakers.
