The Dallas Mavericks agreed to a three-year deal that could be worth as much as $30 million with free-agent guard Monta Ellis, reports ESPN.com.

Ellis opted out of the final year of his six-year, $66 million deal with the Milwaukee Bucks to seek a higher contract elsewhere, but so far, Ellis hadn't received the kind of money he thinks he deserves and fired his agent because of it.

The former Most Improved Player of the Year from 2007 turned down a contract extension with the Bucks that would’ve paid him $36 million over three years.
