Nearing a decision on his free-agent plans, center Greg Oden will work out this week for the Miami Heat, New Orleans Pelicans and Sacramento Kings.
ESPN.com's Jeff Goodman and Marc Stein reported Monday that the Dallas Mavericks and San Antonio Spurs are other potential suitors for Oden — but the other three teams are sending representatives to watch Oden work out this week.
According to the report, the Heat and Spurs remain the favorites to sign Oden.
The 25-year-old Oden is attempting to make a comeback from a slew of knee injuries that have limited him to just 82 career games since being selected No. 1 overall by the Trail Blazers in the 2007 NBA Draft. He has not played in an NBA game since the 2009-10 season with the Blazers. He has averaged 9.4 points and 7.3 rebounds in his short career.
