A-Rod on if he 'trusts' Yankees: 'I'd rather not get into that'

The drama between the New York Yankees and Alex Rodriguez continues to pile up. Amid a controversy over him seeking a second opinion on his injured leg without permission, Rodriguez refused to say whether he trusted the Yankees' opinion in a radio interview on Thursday.
WFAN host Mike Francesa asked Rodriguez about his trust in the Yankees' opinion.
“I’d rather not get into that," Rodriguez said, according to CBS New York.
The Associated Press reported on Thursday that the Yankees plan to discipline Rodriguez for seeking the second opinion without the Yankees' knowledge.
Rodriguez, who has been out since undergoing hip surgery in January, issued a statement earlier in the day saying he wanted to be activated for Friday's home opener against the Tampa Bay Rays. Later in the day, the Yankees and Rodriguez discussed on a conference call a timetable for his return to minor-league and/or simulated games. Rodriguez's lawyer was also in on the call, which is highly unusual.
Rodriguez received a third opinion on Thursday from Dr. Daniel Murphy, the team's orthopedic surgeon in Tampa, Fla. He confirmed the diagnosis made last weekend by team physician Dr. Christopher Ahmad.
