Report: Phillies receiving offers for Cliff Lee from multiple teams

The Philadelphia Phillies are receiving offers from multiple teams for left-handed pitcher Cliff Lee, according to ESPN's Jerry Crasnick. The MLB trading deadline is on Wednesday, July 31.

Crasnick lists the Boston Red Sox, Atlanta Braves, Cleveland Indians, St. Louis Cardinals, Pittsburgh Pirates and Los Angeles Dodgers as teams in the market for starting pitching. According to the report, Lee's contract could complicate a deal involving the former American League Cy Young award winner. Lee is set to make $25 million from 2013 to the 2015 season.

Phillies general manager Ruben Amaro Jr. said he would "not put any absolutes" on any trade possibilities regarding veteran Phillies like Lee, Chase Utley or Carlos Ruiz. Amaro Jr. also said he owes it to the organization to listen to trades for any player on the roster if other teams are making offers.

Lee, 34, is 10-4 with a 3.04 ERA and a 1.01 WHIP for the Phillies so far this season.
