Connecticut state police divers searched a pond in the hometown of former New England Patriots tight end Aaron Hernandez, according to an ESPNBoston.com report. Police declined to comment on the nature of the search of Pine Lake Park in Bristol, Conn.

According to the report, authorities are searching for the weapon involved in the investigation of the murder of Odin Lloyd. Hernandez has entered a not guilty plea and is awaiting trial.

Authorities have yet to discover the murder weapon after searching several homes linked to Hernandez. A judge ruled last week to delay Hernandez's probable cause case to give prosecutors more time present evidence against Hernandez. Judge Daniel O'Shea rescheduled the hearing for Aug. 22.
