Dodgers' Hanley Ramirez leaves game with right shoulder injury

Los Angeles Dodgers shortstop Hanley Ramirez, who has already endured two stints on the disabled list this season, left Sunday's game against the Cubs in the seventh inning after colliding into Wrigley Field's brick wall while making a catch on a foul pop-up.

Ramirez, clutching his right shoulder, was tended to by the Dodgers' medical staff and replaced by Nick Punto.

The 29-year-old missed the first 24 games of the season with a torn ligament in his right thumb and returned for four games before landing back on the DL with a hamstring injury.

He is hitting .361 with 11 home runs, 37 RBI and a career-high 1.063 OPS in 54 games, leading the Dodgers' red-hot run into first place in the NL West after winning 13 of 15.

Punto is the only other shortstop on the Dodgers' roster, though Juan Uribe, Jerry Hairston Jr. and Mark Ellis also have experience at the position.
