Baltimore Ravens tight end Ed Dickson has a slight hamstring tear and will miss the next couple of weeks, the team announced Monday.

The team is extremely thin at the position, with starter Dennis Pitta lost for the remainder of the season after suffering a dislocated hip.  Dickson was expected to be featured more in the offense in light of Pitta's injury.

"It’s going to be a matter of time, but it’s not going to be a long time," Ravens head coach John Harbaugh said about Dickson.

Harbaugh said that Dickson should be able to play Week 1 against the Denver Broncos.
