Report: Longhorns' Ioannis Papapetrou being courted by two Greek teams

Ioannis Papapetrou is the leading scorer among the returning Longhorns, having dropped eight points a game at a 36-percent clip last season, but two Greek basketball teams are trying to convince the sophomore-to-be to leave Texas and head overseas.

Per SB Nation, Olympiacos B.C. and Panathinaikos B.C. are after the 6-foot-8 Papapetrou, who is coming off an impressive performance in the U20 European Championships, leading the Greek national team in scoring (15.9) while ranking second in rebounding (5.3). Per the report, Olympiacos has submitted its final offer of 1.3 million euros over five years  (or, $1.7 million American dollars).

Papapetrou is quoted as saying his desire is to stay at Texas, but acknowledges he has a tough decision to make.

The Longhorns missed the NCAA tournament in 2012-13. This offseason alone, three players transferred, while Myck Kabongo declared for the NBA Draft. Kabongo wasn't among the 60 players selected.

Texas head coach Rick Barnes remains confident Papapetrou will return to school.
