California senior guard Justin Cobbs suffered a fracture of the fifth metatarsal in his right foot and will be out for six to eight weeks, the school announced Wednesday.

Cobbs is the Golden Bears leading returning scorer and assist leader from last season, as he averaged  15.1 points and 4.8 assists per game.

GLOCKNER: Conference catch-up: Pac-12

He is the Pac-12's active career leader in assists with 324 and earned second-team conference honors as a junior last season.  Cobbs should be healthy and fully recovered when Cal opens the regular season against Humboldt State on Oct 31.
