North Carolina athletic director Bubba Cunningham was a guest speaker at a faculty retreat for the school's journalism department on Thursday when he was asked a question about star P.J. Hairston -- whether the indefinitely suspended guard would play this season.

His response:

"Yes. But not all the games."

That answer hints that Hairston might miss some games this upcoming season. Hairston is suspended indefinitely after having three run-ins with police during the offseason.

Charges of possession of marijuana and driving without a license relating to an arrest at a traffic stop on June 5 were dropped against Hairston last month.

Hairston led North Carolina in scoring with 14.6 points per game last season.
